We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Preamble to the Declaration of Independence

As stated in the Declaration of Independence preamble as a citizen of the United States we are given certain inalienable rights.

Inalienable rights are fundamental rights believed to belong to every person by virtue of human nature itself, not granted by governments or authorities. They are considered inherent, universal, and incapable of being surrendered or taken away, except in extreme circumstances.

When a person confesses Romans 10:9-10. They are given inalienable rights as a son of God.

Romans 10:9-10 9If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 

Because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross we are seated in the heavenlies.

NKJV Ephesians 2:1-6 1And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,5even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

The phrase “raised up with Christ” refers to a spiritual resurrection that occurs at salvation. Just as Christ was physically raised from the dead, believers are spiritually brought from death in sin to new life in him. This transformation marks a complete change from former state of spiritual death to a life empowered by God’s grace, emphasizing that salvation is entirely a work of God, not human effort.

By being seated with Him in heavenly realms symbolizes a position of honor, authority, and rest. Spiritually, this means believers share in Christ’s victory, authority, and eternal inheritance. It assures Christians of their secure position in God’s kingdom and the certainty of eternal life.We are no longer slaves to sin but are  part of God’s family, united with  Christ.

When a man is born again of God’s Spirit, he has Christ in him. Everything that God is in Christ is in him. He has the love of God, he has the justification of God, the sanctification, the redemption, the righteousness, and the faith of Jesus Christ. This is what one receives when he accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. Salvation is not earned it is a gift of God.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus died for our sins. He was raised for our justification. Allowing us entrance into the family of God with a clean slate.

Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

We were completely released form the penalty of sin when God raised him from the dead.

Romans 3:21-25 21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; time Christ died for the ungodly. 22Even the righteousness of God which is by [the] faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely [not reluctantly or hesitantly] by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 1:30 But of him [God] are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

If God has given these things unto us, we have Christ’s wisdom, His righteousness, His sanctification, and His redemption.

The word “sanctified” means “to be set apart.”

Before a man is born again of God’s Spirit, he is a man of body and soul, that’s all. But when he is born again, he is set apart by God for heaven and all hell can’t stop him from going.

We’ve been made righteous not of ourselves but by what Jesus accomplished for us.

We were redeemed, bought back with the precious blood of Jesus.

Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law [If you keep the Ten Commandments, you are not found in Him, having your own righteousness of the law.], but that [righteousness] which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.

Being justified by the faith of Jesus Christ, we have peace. Peace is not something to be worked for; we get it when we receive him (Jesus Christ).We are at peace with him. If we renew our minds, we will be peaceful and act peaceably because we have the peace of God.

Romans 5:6-9 6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some [men] would even dare to die. 8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” old things [in one’s mind] are passed away; behold, all things are become new [in a person’s mind to the extent that he is in Christ, fellowship].

It does not say “Christ in you.” Christ in a person is salvation; a person in Christ is the renewed mind, one’s fellowship with Him.

We must renew our minds to the Word of God and walk with our heads held high knowing that we are a son of God because of what Jesus did for us.

He IS Risen
