In part 2, we look deeper into what the allegory of Issac and Ishmael, the sons of Abraham's wife and his wife's maid. What's the allegory about? God promised Abraham that he would have a son, a promised seed. He and his wife Sarah got to thinking how old they were getting, and decided they should help God out. Sarah gave Abraham her female servant to wife to enable the promise to be filled. God worked with Abraham and Sarah because God wanted the Promised seed to come from Sarah. So, God compares clinging to the Old Covenant rules and regulations to the son of the flesh from the servant - man's way. The freedom in Christ is God's way.
