A good goal in life, and a skill that everybody needs to practice is to be calm and deliberate, looking to God to know what to do when we are faced with handling or resolving a conflict, especially with a superior. There are many things we can learn by observing the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail. Because Abigail maintained her composure and didn't over react or do stupid things, she was able to rescue her household from a difficult situation. She went to God, then she approached David in the proper way, she spoke the things God wanted her to speak. She got great results. If you maintain your composure and your peace, you'll be able to hear from God. You speak what and when God tells you to speak. It takes diligence and discipline to make this a good habit in your life, but it's worth the effort.
