We look at five people who got a second chance: King David, Saul of Tarsus, Mary Magdalene, Jonah and Peter. We see how they got second chances and responded to them. God's grace isn't there so that we can sin and get forgiveness. God's grace teaches us that we shouldn't sin. Grace is like a net under a highwire. When the person walks the high wire, they do the best they can, but if they make a mistake and they fall, God's safety net of grace is there to catch them so they can climb the ladder and try again. You have to know the truth about yourself and the Word of God. You need to get humble and meek and acknowledge that you messed up. God is always willing to receive the truly penitent believer.
